The Dance Section offers something for everyone with classes from Ballet to Hip Hop and Greek to Song and Dance. Our competitors range in age from 3 years to Senior Citizens and everything in between.
The principal aim is for our dancers to gain performance experience and to have fun showcasing their work in a relaxed yet professional environment.
Our adjudicator for 2027 is Jayne Cooper
DipRBS(TTC), FISTD, ARAD
Dance adjudicator 2027
Jayne says ………….
I trained at Elmhurst and the Royal Ballet School TTC, after which I performed professionally in musical theatre and cabaret, TV and the Cruise industry, producing and choreographing for Empress Cruise Lines, Singapore.
After 'retiring' from the business, I ran a theatre arts academy for 13 years, before turning freelance and joining the staff of the Royal Ballet School Associates Programme, as well as offering private tuition for students wishing to pursue a vocational career. Many of my former students are now enjoying careers as professional dancers in international ballet companies, the Royal Ballet, the West End and for major cruise lines.
I have been involved in the Festival movement for over half a century now - first as a performer, then a teacher and for over 25yrs as an adjudicator for the British & International Federation of Festivals and All-England Dance. I love my job!
